# Set Up and Run a Customer Loyalty Program

> Create a loyalty program in Zentrix Cloud with earn rates and rewards, then enroll customers and apply points at POS or online checkout.

Loyalty in Zentrix Cloud lets you reward repeat customers with points they can earn on every purchase and redeem at checkout. You control the earn rate, the rewards catalog, and how customers enroll, whether at the point of sale or through your storefront.

## Before you start

* You must have access to the Customers module.
* Decide your earn rate (for example, one point per currency unit spent) and the rewards you want to offer.

## Set up the loyalty program

  1. Open the **Customers** module in the Zentrix Cloud admin sidebar.
  2. Navigate to the loyalty or rewards section. The exact label may vary; look for **Loyalty**, **Rewards**, or **Programs**.
  3. Create a new program and set the **earn rate**. For example, enter how many points a customer receives per unit of currency spent.
  4. Add **rewards** to the program. For each reward, define the point cost and what the customer receives (for example, a fixed discount or a free item).
  5. Save and activate the program.

## Enroll customers

Customers can be added to the program in two ways:

* **At POS**: During a sale, look up the customer record and add them to the loyalty program before completing the transaction. Their points will accrue automatically.
* **Online**: If your storefront supports loyalty signup, customers can enroll themselves during checkout or through their account profile.

  If a customer already exists in your unified customer list, you do not need to create a new record to enroll them. Just link the loyalty profile to their existing account.

## Apply rewards at checkout

<Steps>
  1. At checkout (POS or online), look up the customer to open their profile.
  2. View their available points and eligible rewards.
  3. Select the reward they want to redeem and apply it to the current order.
  4. Complete the transaction. The system deducts the points and updates the customer balance.
